
LACASA Afterschool program offers a variety of enrichment activities, homework help and tutoring to children from kindergarten through sixth grade. Our program is open to both full time and part time students. Full time students are offered a comprehensive afterschool program, which includes dance, art, games, homework help, science, fitness and more. Part-time students can select individual activities based on interest. Click here for schedule.
Who May Register?
LACASA Afterschool classes are open to PS 84 students and children from neighboring schools. The program follows the NYC public school schedule. Classes run on a two-semester basis; from September to December and January to June.

Applications may be brought to room 114 at PS 84 or mailed to C/O LACASA 32 West 92nd St. New York, NY 10025. We accept application on a first-come first-served basis, so we ask that you send in your application as soon as possible. We maintain a wait list and try to accommodate students as slots become available.
A Typical Day at LACASA
- 3:00PM – children meet in the cafeteria.
- 3:00PM-3:45PM — children have supervised supper/snack, prepared by the Department of Education
- 3:50PM – 4:50PM — Club activities begin promptly at 3:50PM.
- 4:50-5:00PM — Part-time students are dismissed from the cafeteria, or held for late pickup. Full-time students then move on to their second club activity.
- 5:50PM-6:00PM — full-time students are dismissed from the cafeteria.
