Hello, my name is George. I’m eight years old. I was born on July 14, 2001. I am in the 3rd grade. There are many things I enjoy doing like playing with my Wii, playing dodge ball in the schoolyard, and playing soccer in LACASA.
I would like to tell you about my given name. I was named George because all the men in my family are named George. My father, grandfather, and my great grandfather are all named George. My father named me George because he wanted to continue to pass the name on in the family.
My name means “a person who works the earth” it has a Greek origin. I love the earth and I think it is important that we take care of the earth. My family is originally from Georgia and my great grandfather and my grandfather used to be farmers in the South. I like my name because all of the men in my family are special.
I would never change my name because my name has a family history behind it. I want to pass my name on to my son in the future. I hope my son keeps the family tradition of passing the name George on.
Hello, my name is Heaven-Lee. I’m eight years old and in the 3rd grade. I was born on July 8, 2001. I enjoy drawing, playing basketball and combing people’s hair.
I would like to tell you about my given name Heaven- Lee. My father named me Heaven- Lee because he loved me so much when I was born. He said I was a gift from heaven. I didn’t know what my name meant, but I learned it meant “paradise” and it has English origin. I like that my name means paradise. I do not like my name because I would rather be named Stacey. I would like to be called Stacey because I think it’s a better name than mines.
I have a nickname that is Hev. My mom and my dad call me that because it is short for my Heaven-Lee. When I have my daughter I will name her Kitty because that is my mom’s nickname.
